2025 marked another standout year for everyone at KMF

Filled with growth, achievement, and incredible teamwork across all three of our sites.

Our business continued its upward trajectory, with growth exceeding £2 million and an impressive 1.6 million top-level parts shipped throughout the year. In total, this meant 7.3 million individual pieces of metal manufactured — all made possible by machinery running 24 hours a day for 352 days.

To support this demand, we expanded our production capabilities, now operating over sixty machines across our facilities. Behind this equipment is our exceptional team: 219 dedicated shop floor employees who collectively delivered 367,379 hours of work across 43,221 days.

KMF continued to be a trusted manufacturing partner across ten different industries, with particularly strong activity in switchgear, kiosk and vending, digital signage, food processing, and HVAC. We were proud to support high-profile customers including Costa Coffee, Panasonic, Ishida, Schneider Electric, Greggs, and myenergi.

Among our most in-demand products were fire detection boxes, solar power diverters, and electrical distribution boards. Powder coating remained our most frequently used finishing technique, followed by bead blasting and graining. The Gema automatic powder coating booth system topped our machine utilisation charts for 2025, closely followed by the Trumpf Trulaser Fibre and Trumpf Trumatic 7000, contributing to a combined 26,878 hours of production.

Away from the shop floor, 2025 was another fantastic year of charity support for KMF. Together, we raised £58,000 for local charities, contributing to a remarkable milestone of £500,000 raised for the Dougie Mac over our years of support. A special highlight was our Managing Director, Gareth Higgins, taking home the trophy at the Strictly Knot Dancing charity competition in October, raising over £11,000.

Rounding out the year in style, our talented apprentice Kayleigh Simm was presented with the Future Star accolade at the Your Heroes Awards in November.
