Jenny adds to trophies with Top 100 accolade

KMF training centre manager, Jenny Conlon, has earned a place on a prestigious national list.

The Manufacturer magazine announced the UK's 100 most inspiring and influential individuals, as part of its TM Top 100 2016 report, at an exclusive event at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

The project, this year sponsored by Salesforce, aims to dispel myths surrounding manufacturing and create a platform to champion and publicly identify dynamic leaders and innovators in this sector.

This year's TM Top 100 comprises candidates hailing from all over the country, from a range of sectors and occupying varying roles in manufacturing.

Individuals were nominated by readers of The Manufacturer, the wider industrial community and the public, for their contributions in changing the face of the UK's manufacturing industry.

Max Roberts, vice president and UK leader of manufacturing and automotive, salesforce, and TM Top 100 judge 2016 commented: "The individuals showcased in The Manufacturer Top 100 are changing the face of British manufacturing and redefining the industrial landscape as we know it.

"The Manufacturer Top 100 is a great way to celebrate the diversity, creativity and success of our manufacturers and inspire role models to attract more young people into manufacturing."

Jenny was explicitly recognised as a 'Driver of Cultural Change' in the industry. She has played a central role in delivering the TM Top 100 competition, now in its fifth year, which has had a marked effect on promoting STEM subjects and encouraging school leavers to consider a career in engineering.

Jenny commented: "It is a fantastic honour to be a part of the TM Top 100. At KMF we like to think we are leading the way in making manufacturing appealing and exciting to young people. This award endorses our ongoing innovative work with schools and apprentices. "
