KMF secures new AS9100 quality standard

Subcontract sheet metal manufacturer KMF is awarded the updated AS9100 Rev D Accreditation standard after undergoing an independent audit of its quality management system.

AS9100 is the internationally recognised standard for the aerospace industry operated by the International Aerospace Quality Group.

Standards cover quality assurance in design, development, production, installation, and servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of parts including the stockholding and distribution of aerospace and defence parts.

AS9100 Accredited Metal Fabrication

KMF first achieved the previous revision of the AS9100 standard in 2013, to complement investment in a dedicated Advanced Solutions factory unit that serves customers in aerospace, defence and other safety-critical industries.

Sharing the state-of-the-art cutting and profiling equipment with the company's main metal fabrication site, Advanced Solutions adds tight process control and full product traceability to meet the needs of demanding sectors and those requiring specialised electrical integration.

Four ISO Accreditations

In addition to AS9100, KMF Group also maintains ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Accreditation, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety System.
