CNC Turner Setter Operator

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner setter and operator to join our forward thinking and innovative team at our Precision Engineering team at KMF Group Limited.

KMF Group is the leading subcontract manufacturer of precision sheet metal components, enclosures, machined components and electro-mechanical assemblies with a Group turnover of £45 million pounds.

Within the Machining team we supply into a diverse range of sectors that include Aerospace/ Military and Defence/Medical and Scientific and Electronics, with this in mind we are looking to expand our team to support the business growth aspirations.

You will be responsible for setting and operating Mazak Quick Turn (250 MS and 250 MSY). The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Mazatrol Controls.

Able to understand and interpret CAD Programming (G code) is advantageous.

The role will include the accurate interpretation of Drawings, Setting Fixtures and tooling, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Be a time served CNC turner with at least 5 years of turning experience.
• Able to modify and alter programs using Mazatrol Consoles.
• Good understanding of tool setting (standard/driven).
• Be able to interpret design drawing and work with precision tolerances.
• Great communication skills.
• Be an excellent team player.
• Candidate needs to be flexible to suit the business needs.
• Able to integrate with a forward-thinking team of engineers.
• Use your own initiative and be able to problem solve.
• Be able to use measuring equipment.
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and guidelines.
• Keep up with maintenance tasks on machines.
• Keep work area tidy and organised.

Hours of work: Standard Day Shift (Mon to Thurs 7.30am – 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am – 3.00)

Company holidays: 25 days plus Bank Holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
