KMF is home to industry-leading CNC metal punching facilities that offer customers unmatchable efficiency, high speed, and competitively priced parts. Our CNC punching machines operate 24/7 and can handle a wide range of sheet metals and thicknesses, ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm and including mild steel, zintec, galvanised steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, brass, and pre-coated steel.
CNC punch presses can be programmed through CAD and RADAN software and network-linked to our state-of-the-art CNC punch and laser punches. It's a system that ensures the most efficient layout and processing of sheet metal to fabricate any required components.
KMF Group operates 10 metal punching and combination punch/laser machines with full automation and tower storage feed to ensure speed, accuracy and fast delivery.
CNC metal punching plays a significant role in sheet metal manufacturing at KMF and is often the first process in a component's manufacturing journey. It is an efficient CNC metal profiling technique that can also create metal forms such as louvres, dimples and embosses with speed, often eliminating the need for additional operations.
The sheet metal manufacturing process involves CNC punch pressing. These machines are usually either a single head and tool rail or a multi-tool turret design.

The TruPunch 5000 delivers limitless flexibility. A unique rotational head and compatibility with many tools allows this machine to offer a fast, effective cutting solution for almost any shape or forming requirement.

The TruPunch 3000 is a resource-efficient punching machine that has the ability to work without producing a scrap skeleton. The machine can competitively handle small parts scratch-free, with maximum efficiency and automation.

Automated STOPA storage towers, used to feed our CNC metal punching machines, are capable of storing 90 tonnes of raw sheet metal each. They are ready to be processed by the Flexible Manufacturing Cell system that gives a 60% improvement in efficiency over conventional methods.

CNC metal punching machines at KMF include Trumpf Trumatic 6000 and Trumatic 7000 combination laser punches with a maximum working range of 3 x 1.5 metres. We also operate Trumpf 3000 and 5000 TruPunch units. Our high productivity CNC punching machine tools can be used to emboss, form, countersink, bead, contour cut and engrave, by-passing separate operations.

The CNC punching capacity enables KMF means to meet the demands of all customers, from one-off prototype components to high-volume production runs. We use Stopa storage towers to feed our CNC punching machines. Each tower can store 90 tonnes of raw sheet metal.
