Under the guise of Movember a group of willing volunteers from KMF (Precision Sheet Metal) have braved the insults and jokes during November to raise a significant amount for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

The entire team at KMF is regularly involved with fundraising of one kind or another, but on this occasion it was definitely 'Men Only' as a group of employees joined the Movember campaign to raise money to support the fight against male specific diseases, such as prostate and testicular cancer.

Starting on November 1^st the group of 40 discarded their razors to grow a wide array of moustaches, some more successfully than others. The result was that by the 30^th November they had raised £2500 in sponsorship, to which was added £1500 from KMF's bonfire and firework party, bringing the total to a lip curling £4000. Spice was added to the challenge with a prize being offered for the best moustache, the recipient being Lyndon Royall.

"Once again the team at KMF has done a fantastic job in raising money for good causes, and had some fun in the process. The Movember Effect: Awareness & Education, Survivorship and Research. The funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers - prostate and testicular cancer. The funds raised are directed to programmes run directly by Movember and our men's health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research. Together, these channels work to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programmes in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
