The appointment of two new members of staff, one at its main sheet metal manufacturing site in the UK and one at its satellite factory in Slovakia, reinforces KMF (Precision Sheet Metal)'s commitment to delivering on its promises of high quality.
KMF's head office and manufacturing facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme has long held the two essential standards of ISO9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management System).
The appointment of Craig Longworth as Quality Manager will strengthen this site's commitment to ISO9001 and further enhance the company's determination to deliver beyond its customers' expectations.
Craig will also be providing support for Martina Medvecova who has been appointed as Quality Technician at KMF's manufacturing facility in Slovakia.
This new manufacturing facility is in place to service KMF customers in mainland Europe and is also generating new business from customers within Eastern Europe.
Martina's initial role with the company was to develop ISO 9001 to place the facility in Slovakia on the same quality footing as its UK parent. This is now in place and accreditation has recently been awarded.
"Quality and environmental issues are fundamental to our success," says Gareth Higgins, Managing Director, KMF (Precision Sheet Metal).
"Without these two elements in our business and positive management, we would not have witnessed the growth we have seen in recent years."
"Our customers demand that their suppliers deliver on all fronts, especially price, reliability and quality, and it is our aim to exceed their expectations, and this is why we are happy to invest in both people and infrastructure to remain highly competitive."
Further confirmation of this are the aerospace accreditations of AS9100 for which KMF is at the final certification stage, along with the recent awarding of the Silver level at SC21.
These two appointments will assist in maintaining KMF's procedures and to continue to provide its customers with a consistently high level of service.
