KMF has been recognised in the prestigious Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list which is compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service in partnership with City & Guilds.
The list was announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards, which took place at The Skills Show in Birmingham on 13th November.
The Skills Show is a unique celebration to inspire people with exciting opportunities in further education, skills and Apprenticeships.
The most exceptional apprenticeship employers went forward to feature in the list, which showcases the highest standards of excellence in employing Apprentices.
KMF's offering is unique; a world-class training model is delivered by the company in a purpose-built KMF Training Centre.
Apprentices are considered as a major asset to KMF. Gareth Higgins, Managing Director comments, "After completing a four-year, in-house apprenticeship, they have experienced all aspects of the business and have knowledge that no other provider could offer. This is both advantageous to KMF and the individual apprentice, as the workforce is enriched and career progression is accelerated."
Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, congratulated KMF on being named a Top 100 Apprentice Employer, "This year's Top 100 Apprenticeship employers have demonstrated the huge impact on the young people they invest in and the many benefits for their organisation."
"Apprentices help employers develop a skilled and qualified workforce to build a stronger economy while creating a fairer society where young people can get on and go far in some of Britain's best companies."
"I would encourage more businesses across England to follow these shining examples and find out how apprenticeships can help them build a skilled, motivated and highly qualified workforce."
KMF is proud to be listed within the Top 100 Employers and receive recognition for the role they play in helping people gain the skills they need to succeed.
Locally, the business works actively with schools to promote the benefits of apprenticeships and engineering through their Young Engineer of the Year competition.
On March 10th 2015, KMF will be holding an open day to showcase their training facilities; Year 11 students and their parents are welcome to visit the company from 12pm-8pm.
