KMF praises the recent accomplishment of Business Development Manager, Travers Wallet, who helped the Donna Louise Children's Hospice raise a record-breaking amount for the families who need their support.

Travers was part of a 24-strong team who took on the gruelling challenge of rowing from Tower Bridge in London to the Eifel Tower in Paris. In total, the journey took seven days and the team rowed over 450 nautical miles.

With an ambitious original target set of £90,000, it is fair to say that the team 'smashed it' as donations flooded in to swell the total to over £250,000; the largest amount of money that the Donna Louse Hospice has raised from a single event.

In addition to the cash, the charity also benefitted from the positive media attention that surrounded the challenge. Publicity is a great asset for them, as could generate support from further afield to help keep this fantastic facility going.

Travers is rightfully proud of his achievement stating: "It was a great opportunity; I met some fantastic people that I will remain in contact with. The Hospice offers vital support to families who need their care, and it was great for me to be able to do my bit to help."
