After four years managing the development of operations at its KMF Advanced Solutions division, Stefan Rduch is taking on a new challenge in business development at Newcastle-under-Lyme-based KMF (Precision Sheet Metal).

While Stefan is leaving behind the day-to-day running of KMF Advanced Solutions, it will not be far from his mind as his new role will focus on developing sales in the aerospace sector, a significant market for KMF expertise in sheet metal manufacture and electronic integration.

"It was a fantastic privilege to be given the job of managing KMF Advanced Solutions, and the chance to take it from an empty factory to a business unit generating a turnover more than £4 million has been an experience that will remain with me for many years to come," said Stefan.

"The opportunity to move to a more commercial role and develop that turnover even further is one that I am relishing as the growth potential is huge."

"At KMF we are well placed to work in partnership with leading aerospace manufacturing companies to provide them with a totally outsourced sheet metal fabrication and integration service, something that we already do for several customers."

"My new role will be to develop these new partnerships and ensure that KMF is the first choice when these businesses are looking to expand their manufacturing capacity."

Stefan is a product of KMF's highly successful Apprentice Training Programme, where his enthusiasm was recognised at an early stage.

On completion of his apprenticeship, he went on to complete further training, gaining an HNC and HND in Mechanical Engineering, along with level five of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply's qualification.

Having spent time managing a budget of over £3.5 million in the purchasing department he was hand-picked to head up the new KMF Advanced Solutions division.
