KMF (Precision Sheet Metal) has appointed Lyndon Royall as Business Development Manager for its Advanced Solutions facility, which provides bespoke sheet metal manufacturing for customers in the aerospace, defence, medical and security sectors.
Lyndon Royall brings to KMF Advanced Solutions his experience gained at Royal Ordnance and specialist storage system supplier, Dexion.
During that time he has also gained qualifications from Staffordshire University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering, Low-Cost Automation and Metrology.
It was during his time at Dexion that Lyndon was introduced to KMF and three years ago joined the Newcastle-under-Lyme business as a Project Manager.
His success in that role led to the opportunity to drive forward the development of the new Advanced Solutions plant.
He said: "This role at KMF Advanced Solutions is allowing me to put to use the experience I have in managing large, complicated projects, across all sectors of industry, particularly in the aerospace, medical and defence sectors."
"The existing skills base is a strong foundation, and with the recent award of SC21 Award at Silver level we can offer the reassurance to customers of quality, on-time delivery with full traceability of components and the materials used in their manufacture".
The knowledge and disciplines that KMF Advanced Solutions brings to businesses looking to outsource the production of complex sheet metal assemblies, as well as the integration of electronics, is already proving invaluable.
"What has been interesting is the opportunity to show customers around this facility and their reaction to it. The investment that KMF has made here has certainly set a benchmark for businesses looking for a sub-contact manufacturing partner," added Lyndon Royall.
