Aspiring engineering apprentices were invited to an open day to get a taste of the exciting and rewarding career opportunities offered by the KMF Group.
The award-winning KMF Group apprenticeship program is recognised by the National Apprenticeship Service as 'World Class' and KMF met their next cohort of apprentices at their annual Open Day.
The event was open to all youngsters and their parents. The day was an opportunity to visit the KMF factory and Training Centre and meet current apprentices and share their experiences. There was also an opportunity to have a go at some basic engineering in the apprentice workshop and view KMF's industry leading robotics technology.
In addition to the engineering and academic aspects of the apprenticeship, all the apprentices take part in a range of activities as part of the annual Apprenticeship Challenge. Participants get involved in community challenges which raise money for local charities, as well being great personal development activities and loads of fun.
KMF Training Manager, Jenny Conlon commented: "We offer a warm welcome to anyone considering a career in engineering. KMF needs highly trained and multi-skilled staff who will lead the business forward. Apprentices are key to KMF's future."
