KMF achieved OHSAS 18001 accreditation and understands that its workforce is its most valuable asset. KMF is committed to maintaining accreditation standards annually and providing a safe and healthy environment in which all of our employees can work.
We have health and safety management programmes which comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and ensure, by defined objectives and targets, the prevention of accidents and incidents to employees and all who visit KMF.
As part of KMF's commitment to our staff, the company became a member of the British Safety Council in 2009 and has since delivered a Level 1 Health and Safety qualification to all KMF employees. Other health and safety training offered to employees includes NVQ's up to level 4 and relevant job specific training to ensure competence.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is critical for technicians working in many of the services offered by KMF. Every practitioner is educated on the safety equipment required to complete a task safely. All equipment, from PPE through to specific technical hardware and machinery, is regularly tested and checked to ensure employee and visitor health and safety is never compromised.
Steel work boots and individual ear plugs are essential for all employees and KMF happily provides employees with all necessary PPE, including gloves and masks, via PPE vending machines available 24/7. Task-specific PPE, such as welder gauntlets are provided by team leaders on a regular basis and are commonly reviewed.
